LA BON CHACAL!

How can the Jackal be destroyed?! Sorry for the spoiler alert but this just doesn't imprint any contentment. Mr.Forsyth knows how to make his readers crave shocking surprises. The plot gradually diverts our attention solely towards the Jackal's unknown motives and cleverly makes us take his side as the events progress which also leaves the readers wholly disappointed at the very expected cliched ending. I could even feel the slight seething rage every time the Police forces blew the Jackal's cover off.      The transient change of the dramatic personae is astounding. There is an unprecedented guessing in the investigation methodologies of the detectives and SDC members. How humongous is a task like identifying the infiltration in a crowd filled with an unknown population of France?!. Each step must be calculative and gingerly. Keeping things discreet from the press works about as well as having a cat in a bag. It must be a herculean task for the matter to be propagated to various countries' chiefs. It's the "walking on eggshells" moment for the officers while plying to the strict incorrigible remarks of Big Charlie, as well as not letting other countries and subordinates know that it's confidential yet not serious enough to have a sensitive spread. Now all that's being said, there is no way one could undersee the dauntlessness of the Jackal. It's always the unknown shadow that captivates an idle mind.

ALL FOR NOTHING

  A text's verbosity reaches unfathomable grandiosity when poetry meets prose. Michael Ondaatje is gifted enough to weave a tale that's tragic in parts but wholly serene. At its core, "In the Skin of a Lion" treads the rugged path that courses a life chart making the journey somewhat worthwhile. The movie is set in Paris in 1919 and takes you on an artistic journey showcasing the life and works of Modigliani. During that era, Modigliani's biggest rival was another world-famous artist, Pablo Picasso. Their competition, self-centric approach and ego project them as mighty contenders and arch-rivals in the field of art. This eventually leads them to face each other in a famous competition that the whole world was waiting for Modigliani Vs Picasso. The works of Modigliani stood the test of time and were celebrated because of the emotions they radiated. To this day, this is being examined. All of Modigliani's works were the manifestation of his own emotions and experiences.
