Another brilliant psychological horror film from the director of "Get Out". This movie like his previous one is filled with loads of innuendos, hidden meanings and multiple references for the audience to interpret. Peele is an expert at conveying the strongest messages through normal events and ordinary circumstances. The movie starts with an ad for "Hands Across America", an event that was kick-started by the American Government in 1986 with the intention to unify people, break societal barriers and curb poverty among the backward classes. A small girl is watching this ad quietly. She goes to Santa Cruz beach for a carnival with her parents and accidentally loses her direction only to get lost in a Fun House along the beach. While trying to figure out the Exit, she has a shocking encounter with another girl who exactly looks like her. She is being attacked by her doppelganger but is later found and rescued by her parents after 10-15 minutes. However, she is not the same girl anymore. Something that happened inside the Fun House changed her forever. After many years, she gets married and has 2 kids living a happy life with her family. The family goes to Santa Cruz for a vacation. When she sees the same beach and Fun House after many years of the attack, she feels extremely uncomfortable and nervous which makes her badly want to get out of the place as soon as possible. An unfortunate turn of events occurs when on the same night, another family with doppelgangers of everyone in her family including herself. This leads them all confused and terrified. The doppelgangers who are the "tethered" are from the underground, from the gutters and are dual personalities of those who are living above the ground. What do they want? Why are they here? How were they formed? Why do references like rabbits, the number 11, colour Red keep coming up in the movie? Is it the US or the US?
The movie's climax and a little bit of research will answer all these questions.
"Get Out" திரைப்பட இயக்குனரின் அடுத்த படைப்பு. ஒரு சில படங்களை பார்த்து முடித்தவுடன் ,அதை பற்றி விதவிதமாக ஆராய்ச்சி செய்யத்தோன்றும். அது போன்ற படம் இது. நிறைய குறியீடுகளை கொண்டு மறைமுகமாக பல கசப்பான , பயங்கரமான உண்மைகளை படத்தின் மூலம் வெளிப்படுத்துகிறார் இயக்குனர். சில திரைப்படங்களின் வெற்றி அதை பார்த்தவர்களின் விதவிதமான புரிதல்கள் மற்றும் சிந்தனைகளை சார்ந்திருக்கும். அதையே சில இயக்குனர்கள் தங்களின் படைப்பாற்றலுக்கு கிடைத்த பெரிய அங்கீகாரமாகவே கருதுகிறார்கள். Peele வின் படங்களும் அவ்வகையை சேர்ந்தவை. படத்தின் கதை 1986ல் தொடங்குகிறது. ஒரு தொலைக்காட்சி பெட்டியில் "Hands Across America " என்ற நிகழ்விற்கான விளம்பரம் ஒளிபரப்பப்படுகிறது. இது உண்மையிலேயே அமெரிக்க அரசாங்கத்தால் , அமெரிக்க மக்களின் ஒற்றுமையை பறைசாற்றவும் , ஒடுக்கப்பட்ட மக்களின் ஏழ்மையை போக்கவும் முன்னெடுக்கப்பட்ட ஒரு நிகழ்வாகும். இதை ஒரு சிறுமி பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருக்கிறாள். ஒரு நாள் தன் பெற்றோருடன் சாண்டா க்ரூஸ் கடற்கரையில் நடக்கும் திருவிழாவிற்கு செல்கிறாள்.அங்கு இருக்கும் ஒரு கேளிக்கை அரங்கத்தில் வழிதவறி சென்று தொலைந்து விடுகிறாள்.சிறிது நேரம் வழி தேடி அலைந்து திரிந்து கொண்டிருக்கும் வேளையில் , ஒரு அதிர்ச்சி அவளை மிரட்டுகிறது. தன்னை போலவே ஒரு பெண்ணை அங்கிருக்கும் ஒரு கண்ணாடி அரங்கத்திற்குள் பார்க்கிறாள் , அந்த உருவத்தால் தாக்கவும் படுகிறாள். 15-20 நிமிடங்களுக்குள் அவளை பெற்றோர்கள் கண்டுபிடித்து விட்டாலும் , அவளுக்குள் ஏதோ ஒரு பெரிய மாற்றம் காணப்படுகிறது. பிறகு நிகழ்காலத்திற்கு கதை வருகிறது. அந்த பெண் இப்போது திருமணமாகி 2 குழந்தைகளுக்கு தாய். பல வருடங்கள் கழித்து குடும்பத்துடன் விடுமுறையை கழிப்பதற்காக அதே கடற்கரைக்கு செல்கிறாள் .அந்த இடத்தை பார்க்கும்போதெல்லாம் மனதில் ஏதோ ஒரு பயம் , நெருடல் அவளுக்கு இருந்துகொண்டே இருக்கிறது . இந்நிலையில் , அதே நாள் இரவு நேரத்தில் , இவர்களைப்போலவே ஒருவத்தோற்றத்தை கொண்ட ஒரு குடும்பம் கையில் பெரிய கத்திரிகோல்களுடன் இவர்களை தாக்க கொலைவெறியில் நிற்கிறது . இவர்கள் யார் ? எப்படி தங்களைப்போலவே உருவத்தில் ஒற்றுப்போகிறார்கள் ,ஏன் சிவப்பு நிற ஆடைகளை அணிந்து இருக்கிறார்கள், படத்தில் அடிக்கடி காட்டப்படும் "முயல்கள்", 11 என்ற எண் ஆகியவற்றிற்கு அர்த்தம் என்ன ? Us ஆ அல்லது US ஆ ? என்பதை இந்த அருமையான திகிலூட்டும் திரைப்படத்தை பார்த்து தெரிந்துகொள்ளுங்கள் .
