This film is based on the life of Dick Cheney who was the Vice-President during George W Bush's regime. Though the Vice-President's post is not as powerful as that of the President's, Dick proved the world otherwise. He craftily managed to exercise his power and controlled the White House by placing his Knights in every important seat. Dick was instrumental in the "War on Terror" scheme brought by the USA to end terrorism in Iraq and Afghanistan after the 9/11 attacks. Though it's a topic of Debate that the USA had waged war on Iraq solely to capture the oil wells, the republican government under Bush's administration strongly states that the war was waged based on the central intelligence reports and Saddam Hussain's connection with Terrorist organizations like Al-Queda and ISIS. They had also suspected the Dictator of maintaining dangerous weapons and Nuclear Arms. An additional controversial fact is that during this war period, an American multi-national oil company called Halliburton Company gained huge profits and was formerly associated with Dick Cheney. Chrisitan Bale has delivered an astounding performance yet again!

செப்டம்பர் 2001 ஆம் ஆண்டு அமெரிக்காவின் மீது அல்கொய்தா தீவிரவாத அமைப்பினால் நடத்தப்பட்ட தாக்குதலின் போது, அன்றைய அமெரிக்க அதிபர், ஜார்ஜ் புஷ் என்பதை நாம் அறிவோம். ஆனால் புஷ்ஷின் அரசாங்கத்தின் அத்தனை முக்கிய முடிவுகளையும் பின்னிருந்து எடுத்தவர்தான் டிக் ஷீனி, அமெரிக்காவின் அன்றைய துணை அதிபர். அவரின் வாழ்க்கையை சொல்லும் திரைப்படம் தான் "Vice" . அமெரிக்காவின் மேல் ஒசாமா பின் லேடன் நடத்திய இந்த தீவிரவாத தாக்குதலுக்கு பிறகு அதற்கு பதிலடியாக ஈராக் மற்றும் ஆப்கானிஸ்தான் நாடுகளின் மீது அமெரிக்க இராணுவத்தால் தாக்குதல் நடத்தப்பட்டது. இதன் முதல் பகுதியில், சர்வாதிகாரியாக கருதப்படும் சதாம் உசைன் கொல்லப்பட்டார். இவை அனைத்தும் அரங்கேறியது புஷ் தலைமையில் என்றாலும் ,பின்னணியில் இதற்கு முதுகெலும்பாக செயல்பட்டவர் டிக். மேலும் அமெரிக்கா தக்க ஆதாரங்கள் இல்லாமல் ஈராக்கின் மேல் போர் தொடுத்தது எண்ணெய் கிணறுகளை கைப்பற்றவே என்ற குற்றச்சாட்டுகளும் பலமாக இன்றுவரை எழுந்துகொண்டுதான் இருக்கின்றன. இந்த காலகட்டத்தில் , டிக் பங்குதாரராக இருந்த ஹாலிபர்ட்டோன் என்ற எண்ணெய் நிறுவனம் பல பில்லியன் டாலர்களை ஈட்டியது கூடுதல் தகவல். எப்போதுமே துணை அதிபர் பதவி எந்தவித அதிகாரத்தையும் கொடுக்காத அலங்கார பதவி என்ற தன்மையை மாற்றி ஒரு அதிபர்ப்போல பல உள்ளடி வேலைகளை செய்து தன்னுடைய இருப்பை தக்கவைத்து கொண்டார் டிக். அவரது வாழ்க்கையில் நிகழ்ந்த பல ருசீகர சம்பவங்களை சொல்கிறது படம். கிறிஸ்டியன் பேல் ன் நடிப்பை பாராட்ட வார்த்தைகள் இல்லை.
