All the Money in the World (2017)

 Director: Ridley Scott 
Starring: Charlie Plummer, Michelle Williams, Christopher Plummer, Mark Wahlberg . 

 This movie is based on true incidents that took place in the 1970s. Famous British-American oil tycoon J.Paul Getty's Grandson John Paul Getty III was kidnapped during this time in Rome. Given the amount of money he made and the influence he had, the kidnappers wanted a large sum of money as a ransom. Paul, known for his frugality was not ready to lend any money for this rescue mission, though he cared for his Grandson. He approaches a former CIA operative Fletcher Chase to investigate the whereabouts of his Grandson. He also issued the following statement to Media which garnered controversy, 
"I don't believe in paying kidnappers. I have 14 other grandchildren and if I pay one penny now, then I'll have 14 kidnapped grandchildren."
Meanwhile, the Kidnappers feel that the whole situation has not been taken seriously by the Billionaire and eventually end up sending a serious note by sending a severed ear of the hostage. Soon the news spreads everywhere and gets huge media attention. Watch this well-crafted adaptation to find out if Mr Paul Getty, one of the richest notorious billionaires was able to save his Grandson with all the money he had.

J.Paul Getty அமெரிக்காவின் பெரும் செழிப்பான, பலம்வாய்ந்த எண்ணெய் நிறுவன அதிபராக இருந்தவர். சவுதி அரேபியாவிலிருந்து எண்ணெய் ஏற்றுமதியை அமெரிக்காவிற்கு கொண்டு வந்ததில் இவரது பங்கும் அதிகம். இப்போது நாம் இணையத்தில் பார்க்கும் Jetty Images இவருடைய குடும்ப நிறுவனங்களில் ஒன்றாகும்.அதிகம் பணம் இருந்தாலும் அதனை செலவு செய்வதில் மிகவும் ஜாக்கிரதையாக இருந்தார் . சில சமயங்களில் கருமி என்று சிலராலும் விமர்சிக்கப்பட்டார். தனக்கு பெரிய குடும்பம் இருந்தாலும் , அதில் மிகவும் இவருக்கு நெருக்கமாக இருந்தது அவரது பேரன் John Paul Getty III. ரோமில் விடுமுறைக்கு சென்றிருந்த John Paul Getty III திடீரென்று கடத்தப்படுகிறார் . 17 மில்லியன் அதாவது இன்றைய மதிப்பு 98 டாலர் மில்லியன் பணம் கொடுத்தால் தான் விடுவிப்போம் என்ற கோரிக்கையை வைக்கின்றார்கள் இத்தாலியன் மாபியா கும்பலை சேர்ந்த கடத்தல்காரர்கள் . முதலில் இது ஏதோ தன் பேரன் விளையாட்டுத்தனமாக நடத்தும் நாடகம் என்று சந்தேகித்து தனக்கு தெரிந்த Fletcher என்ற துப்பறிவாளரை வைத்து ரகசிய விசாரணை நடத்துகிறார் . மேலும் , "நான் ஒரு பேரனை காப்பாற்ற பணம் கொடுத்தால் , நாளிடைவில் எனது 14 பேரக்குழந்தைகளுக்கும் பணம் கொடுக்க வேண்டிய நிலைமை வருமே " என்ற யாரும் எதிர்பாராத கருத்தை கூறினார் .பொறுமை இழந்த கடத்தல்காரர்கள் John Paul Getty IIIஇன் காதுகளில் ஒன்றை அறுத்து ஒரு பிரபல பத்திரிகைக்கு அனுப்பி வைக்கிறார்கள். இது எல்லோர் மத்தியிலும் பலத்த பீதியை கிளப்புகிறது. Paul Getty இறங்கி வந்து கடத்தல்காரர்கள் கேட்ட பணத்தை கொடுத்தாரா, தன் பேரனின் உயிரை காப்பாற்றினாரா என்பது படத்தின் இறுதியில் கூறப்படுகிறது.

The movie is set in Paris in 1919 and takes you on an artistic journey showcasing the life and works of Modigliani. During that era, Modigliani's biggest rival was another world-famous artist, Pablo Picasso. Their competition, self-centric approach and ego project them as mighty contenders and arch-rivals in the field of art. This eventually leads them to face each other in a famous competition that the whole world was waiting for Modigliani Vs Picasso. The works of Modigliani stood the test of time and were celebrated because of the emotions they radiated. To this day, this is being examined. All of Modigliani's works were the manifestation of his own emotions and experiences.
