Suspiria (2018)

Suspiria is a horror film that resembles the script of "The Exorcist", " Rosemary's Baby", "The Devil's Doorway" etc. The original movie was released in the Italian language in the year 1977 and gained popularity for its raw story-telling and bloody depiction of violence and horror. The remake looks better and different in terms of cinematography and plot. Susie, a young American woman travels to Berlin to join a Dance Academy. She likes the place as it has free accommodation and food for its students. The school is run by a group of women who take care of teaching, cooking, housekeeping etc for the school. Susie befriends fellow students and enjoys her new life. One day a woman named Patricia disappears from the School and her whereabouts are unknown. Meanwhile, before disappearing, she also hands over a diary to her psychotherapist and tells him that the School is run by witches and that they are trying to control or kill those who try to escape the place or question their deeds. This shocks the psychotherapist and he decides to pay a visit to the school to know what's really happening. A couple more girls also face the same fate. The film's ending tells who these women really are, why they keep being involved in such practices and whether the girls who had disappeared were found or not.
"The Exorcist", " Rosemary's Baby", "The Devil's Doorway" போன்ற படங்களின் சாயலை கொண்ட படம் இது. 1977ல் இதே பெயரில் இத்தாலியன் மொழியில் வெளிவந்து பலத்த வரவேற்பை பெற்ற திரைப்படம். இப்போது வேறு ஒரு இயக்குனர் அந்த திரைப்படத்தை மெருகேற்றி , சிறிது வித்யாசமாக எடுத்திருக்கிறார். படத்தில் வரும் பெரும்பாலான காட்சிகள் பார்ப்பவருக்கு பயத்துடன் கூடிய முக சுளிப்பை தரும். ஒரு பிரபல நடன பள்ளியில் சேர வாய்ப்பு கிடைத்தவுடன் அமெரிக்காவிலிருந்து பெர்லினுக்கு குடி பெயர்கிறார் அந்த இளம்பெண் Susie . பள்ளி நிர்வாகம் 7-8 பெண்கள் நிறைந்த குழுவால் நடத்தப்படுகிறது. நடனம் கற்றுக்கொள்ளும் பெண்களுக்கு பள்ளியிலேயே தங்கும் விடுதிகள் அமைத்து தரப்படுகின்றன. சில நாட்கள் எல்லாம் சுமூகமாக சென்றுகொண்டிருக்கிறது. இந்நிலையில் அந்த நடனப்பள்ளியை சேர்ந்த Patricia என்ற மற்றோரு பெண் மர்மமான முறையில் காணாமல் போகிறார். Patricia அடிக்கடி சந்திக்கும் மனநல நிபுணரிடம் கடைசியாக ஒரு நாட்குறிப்பை கொடுத்து , அந்த நடனப்பள்ளியில் ஆபத்தான பல விஷயங்கள் நடப்பதாகவும் , அங்கிருப்பவர்கள் சாதாரண பெண்கள் இல்லை என்றும் கூறுகிறார். நாட்குறிப்பை பிடித்த அந்த மனநல நிபுணர், திடுக்கிடும் பல தகவல்களை அறிந்துகொள்கிறார். தானே அந்த விடுதிக்கு சென்று என்ன நடக்கிறது என்று பார்க்க முடிவெடுக்கிறார். இதற்கிடையில் நிர்வாகத்தை எதிர்த்து குரல் எழுப்பும் பல பெண்களும் , பள்ளியை விட்டு வெளியே செல்ல நினைப்பவர்களும் கொடூரமான முறையில் தடுக்கப்படுகின்றனர்.இந்த சம்பவங்களின் பின்னணியில் இருப்பது யார் , எப்படிப்பட்டவர்கள் , இறுதியில் இந்த குற்றங்களில் சம்மந்தப்பட்டவர்களுக்கு தண்டனை கிடைத்ததா என்பதை படம் சொல்கிறது.
