This is a prelude to the master story-teller Alfred Hitchcock's 1960 thriller "Psycho".  Bates Motel tells the tragic story of Norman and Norma who are tied to each other by an unusual Mother-Son relationship. Being overly possessive and insecure about each other, these two characters portray the effect of upbringing and the environment on a person's turn of mind. The locations chosen for filming like Vancouver,  create a beautiful backdrop for this terrifying story. Each episode ends with a cliffhanger and though the audience has seen the ending of the plot in the movie, the story brilliantly explains the series of events that led to it. It's always a risky business to do a spin-off for a successful movie or a show and Bates Motel has surpassed the explications of the viewers by getting better at it in every season. Vera Farmiga is genuinely scary and is always a perfect choice for such plots.
1960ல் வெளிவந்த Alfred Hitchcock இயக்கிய "சைக்கோ" படத்தை நம்மால் மறக்க முடியாது. இப்படிப்பட்ட புகழ்பெற்ற த்ரில்லர் படத்தின் கதையை ஒரு தொலைக்காட்சி தொடராக உருவாகியிருக்கிறார்கள். இந்த தொடர், "சைக்கோ" திரைப்படத்தில் காட்டப்படும் சம்பவங்களுக்கு முன்கதை சுருக்கமாக அமைகிறது. நோர்மா, நோர்மன் என்ற தாய் , மகனுக்கு இடையே ஒரு  விசித்திரமான பாசப்பிணிப்பு இருக்கிறது. "பேட்ஸ் மோட்டல்" என்ற சிறு சாலையோர தங்கும் விடுதி நடத்தும் இவ்விருவரும், ஒருவரின் மேல் ஒருவர் அதீத பாசத்துடன் வாழ்கின்றனர். புதிய நபர்கள் யாரையும் தங்கள் வாழ்க்கைக்குள் வரவிடாமல் பார்த்துக்கொள்வதில் கவனமாக இருக்கின்றனர். நோர்மா யாருடனாவது சிரித்து பேசினால், நோர்மனுக்கு அந்த நபரின் மேல் கொலைவெறி உண்டாகும், நோர்மன் எந்த இளம் பெண்ணுடனோ வெளியே சென்றால், நோர்மாவுக்கு கட்டுப்படுத்த முடியாத எரிச்சல் ஏற்படும். இப்படியாக வாழ்ந்து கொண்டிருக்கும் இவர்களின் சிறிய உலகத்திற்குள் பல விதமான சலசப்புகளும், இடையூறுகளும் ஏற்படுகின்றன. "சைக்கோ" திரைப்படத்தில் வரும் நோர்மன் சைக்கோவாக மாற என்ன காரணம் என்பதை விறுவிறுப்பான 5-பாகங்களை கொண்ட இந்த தொலைக்காட்சி தொடர் கூறுகிறது. க்ரைம்/திரில்லர் படங்களை விரும்புவோர் நிச்சயம் பார்க்க வேண்டிய ஒரு தொடர் இது.

The movie is set in Paris in 1919 and takes you on an artistic journey showcasing the life and works of Modigliani. During that era, Modigliani's biggest rival was another world-famous artist, Pablo Picasso. Their competition, self-centric approach and ego project them as mighty contenders and arch-rivals in the field of art. This eventually leads them to face each other in a famous competition that the whole world was waiting for Modigliani Vs Picasso. The works of Modigliani stood the test of time and were celebrated because of the emotions they radiated. To this day, this is being examined. All of Modigliani's works were the manifestation of his own emotions and experiences. THE CASTLE OF HOPE AND FAITH!

THE CHARIOT OF OUR ANGELS!   After so many phases of colour transformations, finally, our bus has become yellow....Yellow????.sigh........ Anyway, I've seen blue with penguins but not this.  Sometimes I hate our buses for chasing us away with our books and lunch boxes during the casual turns...so much remodelling..so many cras.....ssshhhesss... oopsie!!! I didn't mean to say that...Well..now it's a vibrant bucket of bolts...good!                  THE GRAND GATEWAY!   It's hard for me to not keep thinking about our old watchman. Sharp at 8:45 these huge pair of gates would be closed.There would be a little door too...for other people to enter..and the notice board that you see right there always captivated us during monsoons....we'd wait for some holiday notes to be written so we could run back home. Emails or Phones or WhatsApp didn't exist then. Though these gates did scare us a few times...it very well taugh...
