MARAVILLOSO-LE MEJOR!!!

Yeah...that was Spanish.Haha..SS's making me go crazy about him with his amazing works. God is so cruel to have taken him away from us!"muy malo!"
"It is fiction and yet...", I was baffled by his words in the beginning. Not anymore after wrapping it up! Except for the Tauro bravo, corrida, ballerinas, scarlet cape, matador, and La Tomatina, I hadn't seen or heard much of Spain in my life. I saw the country through Hollywood but not so lucid and fine, as in this novel. (confía en mí!). It is so true that Power by all means decides whether a person is a rebel or a patriot.SS has this profound skill of devising plots and executing them in the most compelling and unsuspected way. (gracias a dios, he was not a rebel!.. lol) I gasped during several moments while picturing the wildest passion and intimacy his characters exhibit among themselves. He is Precise and Pensive, yet sharp as a tack! I keep guessing every time there's an overturn of events, but not once I was successful with my predictions(maltido!)Anyways, in the beautiful backdrop of Spain, where the culture is out of question, and people's civilization, is at stake, SS had painted such an intriguing tale that transfixed me. I could get some perception about God's existence, though don't wanna talk about it! This man can make me believe in things I've never dared to think about too...pelligroso.Wonderfully woven, choosing 4 las monjas(nuns) as the coins, Colonel Acoca and the admirable samurai Jamie Miro as the mighty kings, Spain as the chess board, the game's well played, beyond marvels! I never think it's a waste of time to read the stuff once again! Thriller man!!Perfecto!!

MOVIE REVIEW-POSSUM

Possum (2018) Director: Matthew Holness Starring: Sean Harris, Alun Armstrong A defamed children's puppeteer who is emotionally unstable and psychologically scarred plans to dispose of his grotesque puppet. Every time she tries discarding it, the puppet comes back to haunt him emotionally by being there in his room the very next day. This disturbs him in turn and deprives him of his sleep. His step-father also lives next door with whom he has an estranged relationship. Meanwhile, a young boy in the same neighbourhood gets kidnapped and the policemen start suspecting the puppeteer for it, given his weird behaviour and constant trips with the bag. The climax of the movie gives answers to the following questions, -Who kidnapped the young lad? -Why does the possum keep chasing him?

MOVIE REVIEW- MODIGLIANI

MODIGLIANI (2004) Director: Mick Davis  Starring : Andy García, Elsa Zylberstein, Omid Djalili Biopic of famous Italian artist Amedeo Modigliani. The movie is set in Paris in 1919 and takes you on an artistic journey showcasing the life and works of Modigliani. During that era, Modigliani's biggest rival was another world-famous artist, Pablo Picasso. Their competition, self-centric approach and ego project them as mighty contenders and arch-rivals in the field of art. This eventually leads them to face each other in a famous competition that the whole world was waiting for Modigliani Vs Picasso. The works of Modigliani stood the test of time and were celebrated because of the emotions they radiated. To this day, this is being examined. All of Modigliani's works were the manifestation of his own emotions and experiences. This movie beautifully captures the personal story of the artist and closes with a climax that will leave you feeling heavy. Andy Garcia amazingly impers...

ALL FOR NOTHING

A text's verbosity reaches unfathomable grandiosity when poetry meets prose. Michael Ondaatje is gifted enough to weave a tale that's tragic in parts but wholly serene. At its core, "In the Skin of a Lion" treads the rugged path that courses a life chart making the journey somewhat worthwhile. Patrick Lewis is wildly swayed by the situational currents while what he truly yearns for is an ounce of regulated love. Love that is messy, uncompromising and effusively profound enough to make him feel things. At the fag end of his life, Patrick understands the universe's twisted sense of humour. In Patrick's case, timing plays a cursed role. Expectations are detached to deadlines. Everything has to run its course.  Alignments don't care about our whims and fancies. "Trust the process", we've been told.  But here's the neat part. By the time the pieces fall into place, everything ceases to makes sense; all dwindled down to a bunch of baloney. Al...
